Cornelius Buck

It's funny how word spreads in a small town like Chelsea. I perked up when I heard someone telling a story about a talking deer in the City and more specifically at Reed Barbering-Gary's in downtown Chelsea. I also heard the story told by another person who had seen the deer.

Sure enough, the next time I was in for a haircut there was a deer head mounted on the wall conversing with a little boy below. There was an arrow sticking out of its neck, so it appears that he was taken before the beginning of firearm season.

He said his name was Cornelius Buck, but his friends call him "Corny." The little boy was squealing with delight to be talking to Corny and have Corny speak to him too. It brought a smile to my face to see this. It is magical things like this in Chelsea that makes this city special.
